Powersports Equipment & Technology Teacher - School Year, 9 Month FT secondary teaching position beginning October 2026. The GACTC is seeking a passionate and qualified Powersports Equipment & Technology teacher to join our thriving program. This position requires a minimum of four years of verifiable paid industry experience in the Powersports, Small Engine Repair, Outdoor Power Equipment, Motorcycle Technology, or related Vehicle Maintenance and Repair fields; or a bachelor's degree in powersports equipment and technology with two years of verifiable industry experience; or four years full-time experience teaching post-secondary courses in powersports equipment and technology. Preference will be given to those who possess related industry certifications through EETC (Equipment & Engine Training Council), Briggs & Stratton, Cat/OPE, STIHL, or manufacturer-specific powersports/motorcycle certifications. Pennsylvania teacher certification is a plus; otherwise, college courses leading to certification will be required. As the Powersports Equipment & Technology teacher, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive instruction to students in the field of powersports. You will develop and deliver curriculum, instruct students at varying skill levels, and assess their performance of skills. Your role will involve preparing students for future careers in the powersports industry by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver comprehensive instruction in comprehensive instruction covering 2-stroke and 4-stroke small engines, electrical systems, fuel/carburetion systems, and drive lines common to powersports, outdoor power equipment, and motorcycles, including lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments. Provide instruction in a variety of areas as they relate to entry-level skills in powersports equipment and technology. Instruct students on the safe operation, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of equipment (e.g., ATVs, motorcycles, lawnmowers, outdoor power tools, and personal watercraft). Teach students essential skills, including the techniques, methods, and procedures particular to the areas of the powersports equipment and technology field. Incorporate hands-on learning experiences, simulations, and real-world case studies to enhance student understanding and application of powersports equipment and technology concepts. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and empathy among students. Assess student performance and provide timely feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments. Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in powersports equipment and technology practices. Ensure a safe and healthy learning environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations related to powersports equipment and technology practices.

Qualifications:
