As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality instruction tailored to diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities and developmental delays. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys while collaborating with a passionate team committed to excellence in early education. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, evidence-based lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs. Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with autism, developmental disabilities, and other special needs through tailored strategies such as behavioral therapy and behavior management techniques. Conduct assessments, including standardized testing and progress monitoring, to evaluate student growth and inform instructional adjustments. Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support each child's unique development plan (IEP). Manage classroom routines effectively to foster positive behavior, social skills, and active participation among students. Mentor and supervise assistant teachers and aides, providing guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, and child engagement strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavioral records, and communication logs for families and administrative review. Skills Proven experience in early childhood education or preschool settings with classroom management expertise. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and curriculum development. Familiarity with special education practices, including working with children with disabilities and implementing IEP goals. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, speech therapists, and behavioral specialists. Ability to design differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners with autism or other developmental delays. Experience in behavioral health techniques such as behavioral therapy and behavior management strategies. Proficiency in using standardized testing tools for assessment purposes and tracking student progress effectively. Knowledge of Montessori or preschool methodologies is a plus; certification in early intervention or speech therapy is desirable.
