Special Ed Teacher - Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A Special Education Teacher position is available for an Emotional Support Classroom serving 3rd to 5th graders at an elementary school located in Bethlehem, PA. This is a contract role scheduled from ASAP until June 10, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with emotional and behavioral challenges. Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with staff and families. Manage classroom environment to promote learning and student engagement. Monitor and assess student progress regularly.

Qualifications:

Fully active Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education is required. Experience working with elementary-aged children in emotional support settings preferred. Ability to follow district policies and maintain professional standards. Strong communication and organizational skills.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM. 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The district does not sponsor emergency teaching permits; therefore, candidates must possess a current and active PA teaching certificate.
