Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful difference this summer as a Special Education Teacher serving extended school year (ESY) programs across several school sites. This contract role offers you the opportunity to provide vital instruction and support for students with special needs in a collaborative, welcoming environment. Your work will help bridge the gap between academic years and ensure students continue to thrive—with the added flexibility of a Monday through Thursday schedule.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Pennsylvania, or active PA Emergency Permit with documented enrollment in a certifying program At least one year since any prior assignment with this client, if applicable Reliable transportation; able to commute within 35 minutes of assigned school site Proven experience working with students demonstrating moderate to severe needs, including behavioral and learning challenges Flexible, team-oriented, and committed to student safety and progress Must provide proof of active licensure and a supervisor reference (not coworker) Complete required application documentation, including a detailed resume and screening responsesYour Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized ESY instruction to diverse learners from June 29 to July 30, 2026 Attend mandatory orientation and classroom setup sessions: June 23-25, 2026 Develop individualized education plans, adapt lessons, and collaborate with classroom staff Support students' academic, behavioral, and social growth in a positive, structured setting Maintain accurate records and uphold all client policies and state standardsPerks and Benefits:
