Job Description

Substitute Teacher Service (STS) is hiring Middle School Paraprofessionals/Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support students in the Elizabethtown Area School District. If you're passionate about helping students succeed and enjoy working in a collaborative school environment, this is a great opportunity to make a positive impact every day.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
Hours:
7:20 AM - 3:20 PM, Monday-Friday, following the student calendar •
APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THE FULL SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
•Position Overview As a Middle School Paraprofessional/PCA, you will work alongside classroom teachers to provide academic, behavioral, and instructional support to students. You will assist individual students and small groups in both general education and special education settings while helping create a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Responsibilities Provide instructional support to individual students and small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher. Reinforce classroom instruction and help students meet academic goals. Assist students with classroom assignments, projects, and homework. Support students in both general education and special education classrooms. Encourage student engagement, participation, and task completion. Observe student behavior and provide appropriate redirection when needed. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all interactions. Participate in emergency drills and follow school safety procedures. Utilize classroom technology and educational equipment as needed. Help foster a positive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment. Qualifications & Required Documents Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check (Act 34) Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151) FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114) Proof of a TB test or chest X-ray completed within the past 3 months Proof of a high school diploma or higher education (copy of diploma or transcripts accepted) Additional required STS employment documents will be provided during the onboarding process.
