To Be Determined Job Description Full-time Special Education Teacher at Palisades High School - available at the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year. Interested candidates must be certified in Special Education for PK-12. Responsibilities will include management of IEP caseload, small group and individual instruction in all areas, but math will be the emphasis, push-in support for general education classes, possibly co-teaching, etc. The successful candidate will need strong: instructional skills, progress monitoring skills, effective communication skills with parents and coworkers, insightfulness in making accommodations to assist students in the general education setting, classroom management, and behavior management skills. Candidates that are awaiting an official certification to be approved by PDE are encouraged to apply, but must submit a letter from their university/college and a copy of their Praxis scores that demonstrate program completion. Interested applicants need to submit through Recruit and Hire https://palisades.schoolspring.com/ : letter of interest, resume, completed PA standard application, college transcripts, copy of PA teaching certificate, 3 letters of recommendation, clearances (Acts 24, 34, 114 & 151 current within the past 12 months of the closing date of this posting), and disclosure form(s) Act 168. Please be aware that all applicants MUST submit the required documents as per the posting to be considered for an interview, which includes a copy of certification and clearances as per the guidelines below. Candidates that are awaiting an official certification to be approved by PDE are encouraged to apply, but must submit a letter from their university/college and a copy of their Praxis scores that demonstrate program completion. As is the expectation for all new professional staff, participation in the three-day Palisades Induction Program is required (August 18 - 20, 2026) and is unpaid.
