Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Special education teaching opportunities are available for dedicated educators passionate about supporting diverse learners across multiple school settings. These contract roles are located in Lititz, Pennsylvania, serving a vibrant school community with various special education needs. Each position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by fostering growth and independence in students with cognitive and social challenges.
Opportunities include:
Secondary/High School Life Skills Teach primarily 9th-11th graders with cognitive needs, managing about 10 learners with generally low behaviors. Instruction involves five 70-minute periods per day (four academic, one prep), supported by paraprofessionals and 1:1 staff. The role features a structured schedule from 7:25 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Secondary Autism Support (Supplemental) A new position focused on higher-functioning students with Autism Spectrum Disorder who require tailored support beyond full-time or typical learning support services. Serving about 12 middle and high school students, this role includes in-class support alongside two paraprofessionals and 1:1 aides, with a similar schedule to the life skills position. Elementary Autism Support Working with approximately 6 learners in grades 2-3, this position supports verbal students and those using AAC devices. It includes assistance from Personal Care Assistants at a 1:2 ratio, with a day running from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., including prep and lunch breaks.Qualifications and Experience:
