We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for an Autistic Support classroom in Malvern, PA. In this role, you will work closely with special education teachers and support staff to provide direct academic, behavioral, and personal support to students with special needs. You will play a key role in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to foster a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to students within an Autistic Support setting, assisting with daily instruction, schedule transitions, and personal care needs. Assist in implementing IEP goals, Behavior Intervention Plans, and classroom management strategies under the direction of the lead teacher. Monitor, document, and report student progress, behavior, and daily activities to support the educational team. Utilize educational resources and multimedia/computer technology to enhance student engagement and critical thinking. Help manage student behavior across various school settings to maintain a positive and conducive learning environment. Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams during student progress reviews and problem-solving meetings. Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, school staff, and parents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Associate degree preferred OR passing score on a state-recognized paraprofessional assessment. Previous experience working with children required (educational or special education setting preferred). Knowledge of special education practices and a strong willingness to learn and apply new supportive strategies. Proficiency with computer technology and multimedia learning tools. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative, positive relationships with students, school staff, and families. #Education
