This contract opportunity involves working as an itinerant special education teacher, providing direct services to approximately 30 students in community preschools across the local area. The position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on early childhood development while collaborating with experienced teams and accessing comprehensive training and support.
Key Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania certification in PK-4 and/or Special Education (Emergency permits not accepted) Experience working with preschool-aged children with special education needs Ability to manage a caseload of around 30 students across multiple community preschool settings Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Commitment to delivering individualized, high-quality educational support
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide itinerant special education services to preschool students within various community preschool locations Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs Collaborate with preschool staff, families, and support professionals to optimize learning outcomes Utilize provided training and ongoing guidance to ensure consistency and effectiveness in instructional strategies Maintain thorough documentation and regular communication about student progress
