Job Description

Teacher of the Visually Impaired Contract up to $60/hr located in New Oxford, Pennsylvania. This role delivers specialized instruction to visually impaired students in a school setting for a 36‑week contract, ensuring inclusive education and supporting student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students in the school setting Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Assess students' needs related to visual impairment and modify teaching strategies accordingly Assist students with adaptive tools and technology to enhance learning experiences Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in team meetings

Qualifications:

Current PA Special Education Teaching certificate Minimum of 1 year experience in teaching visually impaired students Full‑time preferred (37.5 hours/week) with days shift schedule Ability to work in a school setting Strong communication skills and ability to work with students and staff in a school environment
