Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Duties Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, or hearing impairments Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, literacy education, math, physical education, and sensory activities suitable for early childhood learners Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and supportive learning environment Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences for children with diverse abilities Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other specialists to support speech therapy goals and behavioral health needs Implement early intervention strategies that promote childhood development, including toddler care and preschool activities Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress quarterly. Engage families through regular communication about their child's development, progress, and ways to support learning at home Qualifications Ass. degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field preferred Valid teaching certification/license in special education or early childhood education Proven classroom experience working with young children in preschool settings or daycare environments Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education Experience working with children who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on high scale.
