A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Title:
Intern•Teacher Pathway Program Committee (Districtwide) (SY26-27)
Qualifications:
Experienced teacher or related experience in education (2-3 years)
Mentoring experience a plus
Passionate about helping educators, including paraprofessionals, new to the profession receive excellent professional development and grow in their careers
Comfortable presenting and supporting adult learning
Availability to meet on Zoom or in-person to collaborate with Availability to support with the program 10-15 hours per week, including meetings. Work study student preferred
Responsibilities:
Assist with administrative tasks such as processing applications, fielding questions, and update tracking systems
Assist in planning, preparing, and coordinating materials and event attendance for TPP professional development sessions
Attendance to collaboration meetings is required
Work collaboratively with the Assistant Manager of Educator Development & Pathways, Director and Asst. Director of HR, program articipants, and other relevant stakeholders Other duties as assigned by an Administrator

Terms:
Work-study student preferred. $18.00-21.00/hour depending on education level, experience, and licensure. Hybrid work schedule is possible.
