Responsibilities Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies. Support students' individual learning needs by adapting teaching methods and materials, including special education accommodations and early intervention techniques. Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and tutoring sessions. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop comprehensive educational plans that support diverse learners, including those with autism or other special needs. Provide necessary lesson plans for parents to complete with students during satellite days Serve as a support for parents by providing "office hours" (virtually) during satellite days Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans while ensuring compliance with educational policies and standards. Teach all course materials from a Gospel-centered, Christian worldview Skills Proven experience in classroom management and early childhood education. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment strategies. Proficiency in using learning technology platforms and library services to support instruction. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to adapt teaching approaches for different age groups and learning styles within an elementary setting. Demonstrated mentoring skills to support student growth academically and socially. Qualifications Must hold a bachelors degree or higher Experience teaching elementary grades Personal and professional life must reflect a commitment to biblical values Must be committed to modeling Christian character in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues
