Telehealth Job Type Contract Job Title:
Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)- Georgia (1099 Contract) We are seeking a qualified and motivated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide remote educational services to students across Georgia school districts.
This is a flexible 1099 independent contractor opportunity ideal for educators experienced in supporting students with visual impairments through virtual instruction and consultation.

Remote (serving students in Georgia school districts)

Independent Contractor Schedule:
Flexible, based on student caseload and school needs Responsibilities Provide direct virtual instruction to students with visual impairments (K-12) Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments as needed Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teams, and families Provide consultation on accessible instructional materials and accommodations Support use of assistive technology (screen readers, braille devices, etc.) Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records Participate in virtual IEP meetings and team consultations Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or related field Valid Georgia TVI certification (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments Familiarity with assistive technology and accessible learning tools Strong communication and telepractice skills Ability to work independently and manage caseload remotely Contract Details 1099 independent contractor position Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Flexible scheduling aligned with school hours Remote work with occasional coordination meetings as needed Ongoing support and access to district resources Preferred Qualifications Experience with virtual/teletherapy or remote education delivery Braille proficiency Background in school-based special education services Strong organizational and documentation skills
