Full-Time | School-Based | Weekly Pay Help Students with Visual Impairments Achieve Their Goals! We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students throughout Washington. If you're passionate about providing specialized instruction and helping students with visual impairments gain access to education, independence, and academic success, we'd love to connect with you. This is a full-time 1099 independent contractor opportunity offering competitive weekly pay, consistent hours, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative school environment. Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct assessments and assist in identifying appropriate educational supports, accommodations, and services.
  • Develop and implement instructional strategies that promote academic achievement, independence, and access to the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Recommend and support the use of assistive technology, accessible materials, and accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs.
  • Utilize virtual platforms for meetings, collaboration, and documentation when appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements. Qualifications
  • Active Washington Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) certification or licensure required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent school-based experience preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technology for students with visual impairments.
  • Comfortable using virtual technology and online platforms.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

  • Competitive hourly compensation of $36.00
  • $40.00 per hour.
  • Weekly pay for all approved hours worked.

1099 Independent Contractor Information This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are paid weekly in full for all approved hours worked. No deductions are taken for benefits, retirement, liability insurance, or taxes. Contractors are responsible for setting aside funds for income taxes and obtaining their own professional liability insurance.
