Job Description

Job Title:
Special Education Teacher - Homebound Services (Virtual / Hourly) Position Overview Charlotte Public Schools is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide virtual homebound instructional services for a student requiring 2 to 5 hours of instruction per week. Instruction must take place outside of standard school hours.

2-5 hours per week (as scheduled based on student need)

Outside standard school hours (evenings or after school)

Hourly / Part-Time Responsibilities Deliver direct specialized instruction virtually to an assigned homebound student. Coordinate with classroom teachers and special education staff to align instruction with the student's IEP goals and general curriculum. Maintain accurate records of instructional time, student attendance, and academic progress. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding session scheduling and student performance. Qualifications & Requirements Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and maintain schedule flexibility outside school hours.
