Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting new opportunity for a full-time, remote Special Education Teacher. Play an essential role supporting students' growth and academic achievement as you manage a caseload of approximately 35 students from the comfort of your own environment. In this contract role, you'll provide expert case management and collaborate closely with educators and families.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current Special Education Teacher certification in Oregon In-depth understanding of IEP development, review, and compliance Experience managing caseloads of diverse learners Strong organizational and time-management abilities Excellent virtual communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee a caseload of 35 students, delivering remote special education services Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Schedule and prepare for IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Monitor and document progress, ensuring all federal and state timelines are met Coordinate reevaluations and maintain accurate records Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and administrators to support each student's unique learning needs
