Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher - Telehealth Job Type Contract Seeking a Special Education Teacher with expertise in telehealth to support a secondary school setting. This contract position offers an opportunity to deliver specialized educational interventions remotely, focusing on students requiring tailored support.
Location:
Alliance, OH Schedule:
20 hours per week (cannot be combined with other assignments within Summit)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and intervention services for students with diverse learning needs via telehealth platforms Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Utilize evidence-based strategies to enhance student engagement and academic progress remotely Maintain thorough documentation of student performance and intervention outcomes Collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families to support student success
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience delivering instruction and interventions through telehealth technology Strong understanding of secondary education curriculum and special education strategies Excellent communication skills for virtual collaboration with students, families, and staff Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently within a remote setting
