Full-Time/ 40 hrs. week Position Summary The 4K Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment that supports the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and academic development of four-year-old children. The teacher will follow the Abeka lesson plan which implements age-appropriate lessons, fosters positive relationships with children and families, and models Christian values through daily interactions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with preschool learning objectives. Integrate biblical teachings, prayer, and Christian values into daily classroom activities. Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment. Foster children's growth in language, literacy, math, science, social-emotional skills, and creative expression. Observe, assess, and document student progress and communicate regularly with parents. Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and learning materials. Establish positive classroom management practices that encourage respect, responsibility, and kindness. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and special events. Collaborate with preschool staff, church leadership, and families to support student success. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and church-related events as required. Follow all church, preschool, DSS licensing, health and safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Associate's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, Education, or a related field preferred. Will also consider Certificate in Early Childhood. Experience teaching preschool-aged children, preferably in a Christian or faith-based setting. Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate instructional practices. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and families. Demonstrated commitment to Christian values and the mission of the church. Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and actively engage with young children throughout the day. Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors. Compensation and Benefits Compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. Pay:
$12.00 - $13.50 per hour
