Job Description

Make a difference by providing specialized instructional support to students as a Special Education Teacher. In this rewarding contract position, your expertise will directly impact the academic and personal growth of learners with diverse educational needs. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current certification in Special Education (valid state credential) Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field required; Masters degree preferred Experience working with students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, behavioral needs, or developmental differences Strong knowledge of IEP process, documentation requirements, and progress monitoring Effective communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and team members Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths and areas for growth Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and behavioral skills in accordance with students' IEP goals Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as required by district and legal guidelines Consult and coordinate with general education teachers, therapists, and ancillary support providers Foster a supportive and structured classroom climate that encourages participation and confidence Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
