Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a positive impact supporting children's educational journeys in a contract role as a Special Education Teacher! Multiple opportunities are available for dedicated educators with a passion for individualized education, including positions at both the elementary and middle school levels. Both experienced professionals and early-career teachers with a commitment to special education are encouraged to apply. Positions are open for five elementary and two middle school self-contained classroom teachers. This is an excellent chance to expand your experience working in a nurturing, collaborative school environment near Chapin, SC. If you thrive in settings requiring flexibility, empathy, and teamwork, your expertise is needed to help students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement Experience with self-contained classroom instruction strongly preferred Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and families Adaptability, patience, and a creative problem-solving approach
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in self-contained classroom settings Assess students' needs and monitor academic and behavioral progress Develop, implement, and track IEP goals collaboratively Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with general education staff, support staff, and administration Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
