We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Hampton, SC for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative and inclusive educational setting.
Travel Opportunity:
This role includes paid housing and daily meal stipends for qualified travel candidates.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities across both general education and special education environments. Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to foster student success. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed. Create and deliver engaging, specialized instruction to enhance academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development. Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and advocate for student needs. Stay up-to-date with current special education practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid South Carolina teaching license with a special education endorsement (or eligibility for licensure). Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred. Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills. A patient, empathetic approach and a passion for helping all students reach their potential.
