Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This position offers an opportunity to work hands-on with 3K and 4K students, nurturing early academic and developmental milestones in a collaborative and dynamic school environment. You'll work onsite, providing tailored instruction and support that aligns with individual student needs and IEP goals. With a full-time weekly schedule, you'll have the stability to build connections and make a meaningful difference over the entire academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Active Special Education teaching license in South Carolina Required endorsements and certifications for teaching Special Education Prior experience working with early childhood or elementary-aged students in special education settings highly preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to fostering a warm, inclusive, and engaging classroom culture
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and adapt instruction to meet the needs of 3K and 4K students Monitor progress and maintain documentation according to IEP guidelines and state requirements Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success Employ evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
