Passionate about supporting student growth and making a direct impact in educational settings? Two dynamic contract opportunities for Special Education Teachers are available—each offering the chance to work closely with dedicated students and collaborate with caring school teams. Opening #1: Self Contained (K-2nd Grade) Work in a nurturing classroom environment focused on early learners in kindergarten through 2nd grade. Support a small caseload of 8 students, allowing for personalized learning approaches and relationship building. Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet individual learning needs, fostering academic and social development. Opening #2: Resource (Middle School) Guide 15 middle school students through differentiated instruction and targeted interventions. Provide both direct support and consultation within a resource setting, helping students thrive in both academic and social domains. Collaborate with general education teachers to implement effective strategies and ensure seamless inclusion.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid certification in Special Education is required. Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, with a passion for individualized instruction. Strong communication skills and an ability to partner effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff. Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs. Positive mindset with a commitment to student advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver instruction based on IEP goals and student assessments. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Create engaging, inclusive classroom environments.
