Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Fairfax, South Carolina for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs while collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement individualized instruction based on students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Create and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and support staff Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
POSITION DETAILS
Full-time position 2026-2027 school year School-based setting Elementary, middle school, and high school opportunities may be available Resource, inclusion, and self-contained classroom assignments may be available Caseload and assignment details discussed during the interview process
QUALIFICATIONS
Active South Carolina Special Education teaching certification required Previous school-based or Special Education experience preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field required Master's Degree preferred SKILLS Differentiated instruction Classroom and behavior management IEP development and implementation Collaboration and communication Data-driven decision making Organization and time management
