Job Description

If yes, then AMIkids maybe interested in you!! What will you be doing? Youth Care Specialist are integral members of AMIkids White Pines' operations team. Reporting to Youth Care Specialist Supervisors (or the program's Directors of Operations) , you will ensure operational effectiveness by mentoring and safely supervising program youth, maintaining accurate and up-to-date shift documentation, and disclosing incident reports be to Youth Care Specialist Supervisors and Directors.
Essential Job Duties:
Ensure the safety and supervision of all youth in accordance with all operational and contractual requirements. Serve as advisor and positive role model for youth in the program, Effective use of the Behavior Modification System by providing redirection and coaching to youth. Coach and advise youth helping them to grow and develop in the areas of personal responsibility, social skills, community living skills, interpersonal communications, and behavior. Execute routine shift duties according to standard operating procedures such as documenting accurate shift logs for all shifts and conducting timely bed checks during overnight shifts. Communicate necessary information to appropriate team members and supervisors, Complete incident, accident, and behavioral reports according to standard operating procedures. Actively participates in day trips and special activities that involve recreational sports, facility and equipment cleaning, ground maintenance and equipment relocation. Transport students and may drive for other work-related tasks. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Minimum Education, Training and Experience High school diploma/GED (degree preferred), Minimum one-year related experience within an educational or youth service program, preferably working with troubled youth.
