Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to inspire and empower students with diverse learning needs. In this vital role, you will create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth, independence, and confidence. Your expertise will help students develop essential skills across academic, social, emotional, and behavioral domains, ensuring they reach their full potential. Duties Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs, including goals for literacy, math, communication, and social skills Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, speech therapy techniques, behavioral management strategies, and evidence-based practices Adapt instructional materials and teaching methods to accommodate students with autism, hearing impairments, developmental disabilities, or other special needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, occupational therapists, behavioral health specialists, and parents—to coordinate interventions and support plans Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavioral therapy techniques to create a safe learning environment Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Provide tutoring and mentoring to support individual student growth in literacy education, math skills, early childhood development, and early intervention initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Childhood Development, or related field; Master's degree preferred Valid teaching certification/license for special education or equivalent credentials Proven classroom experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays Knowledge of IEP development, behavior management strategies, and curriculum adaptation techniques Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and specialists Experience with speech therapy integration, behavioral health approaches, and literacy/math instruction is highly desirable Familiarity with Montessori or preschool educational frameworks is a plus Ability to manage classroom dynamics proactively while fostering a nurturing environment for all learners Join us in shaping the future of children with special needs! Pay:
From $40,000.00 per year
