Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming and collaborative setting. This contract opportunity involves leading a self-contained mild to moderate classroom, currently serving nine students in grades 3-6, with the potential to assist learners across grades K-8. Enjoy the benefit of working alongside four dedicated aides and having full-time ABA support available, ensuring a positive and resource-rich environment for both teaching and learning.

Key Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification) Experience working with students in a self-contained or inclusive setting Strong commitment to differentiated instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families Organizational ability to maintain detailed records and track student progress
