Starting at $42/hour (dependent on experience) Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Resource Teacher to support middle school students in Rock Hill, South Carolina . This position provides an opportunity to work with students who require specialized academic support while participating in the general education environment. The Resource Teacher will collaborate closely with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure students receive the services and accommodations necessary to achieve academic success. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide specialized instruction and academic support in a resource setting. Deliver individualized and small-group interventions aligned with student goals. Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations and modifications. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions. Support students in developing academic, organizational, and self-advocacy skills. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field preferred. Active South Carolina Special Education certification required or ability to obtain through reciprocity. Experience working with middle school students preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Knowledge of special education compliance and IEP development.
