Special Education Teacher Position Overview We are seeking qualified and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support students with exceptional learning needs throughout the 2026-2027 school year in Rock Hill, SC. The teacher will provide individualized instruction, implement IEPs, monitor student progress, collaborate with families and school staff, and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Valid South Carolina teaching credential/certificate appropriate for Special Education and the applicable grade/age level. South Carolina requires educators in public-school instructional positions to hold an appropriate SC teaching credential. Special Education/Exceptional Children certification or eligibility for the appropriate SC certification field. Experience working with students with disabilities and/or exceptional learning needs. Important:
Beginning September 1, 2026 , South Carolina requires candidates seeking Special Education certification to pass an approved reading-instruction assessment, in addition to applicable certification assessments. Candidates who already hold an out-of-state teaching certificate may qualify through South Carolina's out-of-state certification pathway, subject to SCDE review of their credentials and experience. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized instruction based on each student's educational needs and IEP goals. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) .
