Qualifications:

Active Special Education Teacher certification in South Carolina, or certification currently pending with intent to obtain full licensure. Experience with students in special education, specifically with learning disabilities, is highly beneficial. Strong commitment to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in a diverse classroom setting. Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, support personnel, students, and parents. Excellent communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work onsite throughout the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and group instruction to students with learning disabilities in a self-contained LD classroom setting. Develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address student needs. Use varied teaching strategies and resources to facilitate meaningful learning experiences. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral data. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and support needs. Collaborate with other teachers and specialists to enhance student achievement.
