Must have a valid South Carolina teacher's certificate in Special Education (Preferably Multicategorical Certification but Learning Disabilities will be accepted). Minimum of 3 years teaching in special education. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Must have knowledge of the policies, procedures and activities of the school district which pertain to the specific duties and responsibilities of the job Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal regulations and guidelines Knowledge of the records, forms and reports which must be prepared and maintained Has thorough and comprehensive knowledge of current research in programs for students with disabilities procedures, legal issues, instruction and assessment

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
