Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. You'll play a key role providing individualized instruction and support to pre-kindergarten students, working closely with both 3K and 4K age groups. Collaborate with dedicated staff and families to help every child reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
Possess a current South Carolina Special Education (SPED) teaching license, including the necessary endorsements and certifications for early childhood. Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with pre-kindergarten or early childhood special education populations. Ability to tailor interventions and strategies to ensure every student's unique needs are met. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively with families, staff, and related service providers. Commitment to creating an adaptive, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and daily lesson plans for students ages three and four. Adapt instruction, materials, and assessments to address each child's learning, behavioral, and emotional needs. Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in regular IEP meetings. Collaborate with classroom assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide holistic student support. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, fostering positive relationships and family engagement.
