Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) teaching license in a designated special education area such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities. Demonstrated experience working with students who have special needs. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. Commitment to fostering a positive and respectful classroom environment.
Primary Duties:
Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to the needs outlined in each student's IEP. Assess academic and behavioral progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure student success. Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to coordinate services and resources. Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations. Contribute actively to IEP meetings and ongoing student documentation. Serve as an advocate and mentor, nurturing both academic and social development.
Position Details:
Contract role following the district's academic calendar (anticipated dates: August 4, 2026 - May 27, 2027). Full-time schedule with 37.5 hours per week.
