Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity shaping the educational journey of students with special needs! We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for multiple openings, including five elementary and two middle school positions. The primary focus is on educators experienced or interested in self-contained classrooms, where personalized support makes a real difference every day. Your expertise in special education will foster growth, learning, and confidence among students who thrive on individualized instruction. You'll collaborate closely with fellow teachers, families, and support staff to create nurturing, inclusive environments where every learner can reach their fullest potential.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification (required) Experience in self-contained classroom settings is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs Effective classroom management skills Commitment to individualized instruction and student advocacy Strong communication and collaboration with colleagues, students, and families Primary responsibilities and duties: Design and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with IEP goals Maintain accurate and thorough records of student progress Implement a variety of instructional strategies and accommodations Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere for all students Communicate regularly with parents and interdisciplinary teams Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives This contract position provides the chance to impact students' lives and build rewarding professional relationships.
