Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students in grades 2 through 4. In this contract position, you'll work with a spirited group of 12-18 students, supported by a dedicated classroom paraprofessional. You'll have the opportunity to design individualized learning strategies and foster growth in an inclusive, engaging setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably grades 2-4 Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Passion for fostering student growth in a diverse learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Create and deliver tailored instruction to meet each student's unique needs Collaborate with the classroom para to support all learners Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and IEP goals Work closely with families and other educators to ensure holistic student support Establish a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
