Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact working with students in grades 3-8 in a full-time or part-time contract position near Newport, TN! This opportunity is suited for passionate Special Education Teachers eager to support learners across a range of disabilities, including SLD, autism, and OHI. The assignment runs from August 1st through approximately May 22nd, with a standard schedule of 7 hours per day, 5 days a week, all onsite at a single school.

Comprehensive license 461 Experience (or strong interest) in supporting low-incidence disabilities and resource/inclusion settings Openness to working with grades 3-8 New graduates are encouraged to apply—mentorship and support available Commitment to fully in-person instruction Collaborative and flexible attitude
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with a range of special needs Work with colleagues to implement IEPs and inclusive practices Engage thoughtfully with families, support staff, and administration Adapt learning plans as needed to encourage student growth Maintain thorough records and contribute to student progress evaluations
