Job Description

Interim placement

  • To provide specialized instruction to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the classroom.

Plans curriculum and prepares lesson plans and other materials, considering factors such as individual needs, abilities, learning levels, learning styles and physical limitations of students.

Collaborates with regular education teachers in providing an appropriate curriculum for students with disabilities based on the Tennessee general curriculum.

Evaluates student progress and establishes student behavior.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
