PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provide students with technology rich lessons and activities designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in the st century.

QUALIFICATIONS

EducationCertification:

Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subjectlevel assigned

Special KnowledgeSkills:

Knowledge core subjects General knowledge curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

At least three years teaching experience

Driving:

Valid Texas driver's license and be insurable

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Instructional . Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program that integrate Strategies technology into core lessons. . Prepare lessons that reflect accommodation for individual student differences. . Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations. . Plan and use appropriate instructionallearning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodation for individual needs students assigned. . Assess student learning using current technology and use results to guide instructional activities.

Elementary Teacher Integration Specialist . Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established by Individual Education Plans (IEP). . Cooperate with other members the staff in planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements. . Assist teachers in designing instruction that uses educational technology hardware, software and web-based resources. . Use technologies in the teachinglearning process. Student . Assist students in analyzing and improving methods and habits study. Growth and Development . Consistently assess student achievement through formal and informal testing. . Analyze data for longitudinal evaluation students' progress and show teachers how to evaluate and use student data. . Present a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school district. Classroom . Promote a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate Management to the physical, social, and emotional development students. and Organization . Manage student behavior in the classroom and administer discipline according to board policies, administrative regulations, and IEP. . Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. . Assist in the selection books, equipment, and other technology-related instructional materials. Communication . Establish and maintain open lines communication with students and their parents. . Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members. . Use acceptable communication skills to present information accurately and clearly. Professional .
