Job Description
Teacher Since 2003 Trinity Charter Schools has been dedicated to Educating and Empowering Students to Transform and Reclaim Their Lives. Trinity Charter Schools, pursuant to Chapter 22 of the Texas Education Code, will fingerprint, and conduct a criminal background check, on applicants. Employment is contingent up successful completion of the criminal background check. The Teacher is responsible for providing students with appropriate educational activities and experiences that will assist them in fulfilling their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
Essential Functions and Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned. General knowledge of curriculum and Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior. Understanding of positive behavioral management techniques Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal Ability to work respectfully and effectively with students, school staff, residential staff and visitors, regardless of gender, age, disability or Ability to maintain a current Texas driver's license, with an excellent drivingResponsibilities and Duties:
Prepare daily lesson plans, including integration of technology, and submit to Principal Ensure lesson plans show adaptations for differences in student learning styles. Teach instructional subjects according to the standards of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Use formal and informal assessments, as well as student portfolios, to assess and document student progress. Maintain records of student attendance and Maintain appropriate supervision of students and classroom Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly Display current student work in classroom, without last names. Prepare and submit report cards and IEP progress reports in a timely Provide needed information and assist with the development of FBAs and Help students assess and enhance their study methods and Coordinate and manage extracurricular duties, as assigned by the Serve as a role model for students and classroom staff regarding language, dress, and Maintain current knowledge of, and abide by, all state regulations and TCS policies for Ensure necessary and reasonable measures are taken to protect equipment, materials, and Provide input on book, equipment, and materials Create and maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, and community Enrich job skills through professional development Actively participate in faculty and/or staff meetings and assist in school committees as Other Duties as assigned.Physical Requirement:
Maintain emotional control under Work with frequent interruptions Occasional district wide travel Frequent prolonged and irregular hours Sitting, standing, lifting, and carrying (up to 25 pounds with assistance), reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, and kneeling may beQualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Master preferred). Texas Special Education Certification A minimum of one (1) year experience as a classroom teacher, working with ED and/or LD students, preferred.
