Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate - Elementary Core (EC-6) and Special Education (EC-12) Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) and hold an SOE to be eligible for employment

Job Description:

Provide students with appropriate learning activities, structure and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth Prepare lessons that reflect strategies designed specifically for the academic, social and behavioral needs of students Work cooperatively with general education teachers to adjust behavioral approaches as needed for students to access the curriculum Provide direct instruction to support self-discipline and transition to the general education classroom with support from the ECSE teacher or paraprofessional Maintain open communication with campus administrators and district special programs staff Other duties required by campus/district supervisors reflective of district policies and procedures

Salary:

$63,000 for beginning teacher with "0" years experience. $1,000 Master's Degree addenda Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda $3,000 Stipend - ECSE Teacher

Pay Grade:

Certified Instructional, 10 Duty Months

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee-only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
