Provide administrative assistance to the Director and/or Assistant Director in all areas of center operations, including clerical, transportation, and classroom functions. 2. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation, including attendance, payments, deposits, USDA, and contract reports. 3. Manage child and staff files to ensure all training documentation and personnel records are current and properly stored. 4. Handle incoming phone calls and inquiries, provide program information, and offer professional customer service to families and visitors. 5. Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. 6. Interact positively and appropriately with children in individual, small group, and large group settings. 7. Support classroom teachers in maintaining a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment. 8. Ensure all classroom materials and supplies are maintained, sanitized, and replaced as needed. 9. Conduct daily health and safety checks of indoor and outdoor environments. 10. Ensure compliance with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS) Minimum Standards and FCLC policies and procedures. 11. Support children's overall well-being by supervising meals, snacks, and rest periods using positive guidance and discipline techniques. 12. Maintain confidentiality of all child, family, and personnel information. 13. Accurately collect, process, and record payments (cash, check, and credit card). 14. Allocate payments correctly in the center's accounting system. 15. Prepare daily financial logs, deposits, and reports as assigned. 16. Once van-certified, safely operate agency vehicles (15 passengers or fewer) in accordance with all FCLC transportation policies. 17. Maintain transportation logs, including mileage, destinations, and fuel use. 18. Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly. 19. Ensure all participants are accounted for before, during, and after transport. 20. Maintain professional communication and positive relationships with staff, families, and community members. 21. Attend meetings, workshops, and complete a minimum of 30 hours of annual training per TDFPS licensing standards. 22. Report any changes in driving record, moving violations, or certifications to the supervisor immediately. 23. Support the implementation of the FCLC mission, vision, and values in all work practices. 24. Follow all safety protocols and company policies. 25. Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Director. Marginal Duties Participate in parent meetings, special events, and center functions as required. Qualifications and Requirements 26. High school diploma or GED required. 27. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in general office, clerical, or administrative work, including at least one (1) year in a child care or early education setting. 28. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure. 29. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. 30. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and perform data entry accurately. 31. Ability to exercise sound judgment, handle emergencies, and resolve conflicts appropriately. 32. Positive attitude, initiative, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills. 33. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. 34. Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of liability insurance. 35. Must successfully complete in-house van certification before operating company vehicles. 36. Must obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler certifications within 30 days of hire. 37. Must provide a physician's statement of a current negative TB test and freedom from communicable diseases. Work Environment and Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and up to 150 lbs occasionally with assistance.
