Job Description

•Granbury ISD requires three references from former employers, college professors, supervisors, etc with at least two references being from previous supervisors. Granbury ISD will not accept references from friends or family members.•

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The ARD Manager is responsible for coordination, planning and preparation of IEP compliance documents for students eligible for Special Education services. The ARD Manager will prepare for and attend ARD meetings and process all required paperwork for the campus or campuses assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree Valid Texas teaching certificate in special education OR experience working in special education as a licensed professional (

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of the IEP process, special education law, education of special education students, human development, and learning theories. Experience with ESPED, or other computer documentation software. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
Three years as a special education teacher or provider. (

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Schedule ARD meetings in collaboration with school staff, evaluation personnel, and parents. Send required Notices to parents and Outlook appointments to school and district personnel. 2. Ensure that all federal and state IEP timelines are met. 3. In preparation for the ARD meeting, collect and organize relevant data from student's cumulative folder, classroom teacher(s), principal, support staff, parents, and outside resource people. 4. Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee to develop Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students according to district guidelines. Process ARD report and supplements in a timely manner. 5. Submit all required PEIMS information to
SPED PEIMS
clerk by required deadlines. 6. Advise classroom teachers on implementation of IEP as needed. 7. Consult with parents, teachers, administration, and other relevant individuals to enhance their work with students. 8. Develop and maintain effective individual and group relationships with students, parents, and administration. 9. Demonstrate skill in management of eligibility folders, records, reports, and timelines. 10. Comply with all district and local campus routines and regulations. 11. Maintain a positive relationship with supervisors. 12. Effectively communicate with colleagues, students, and parents. 13. Handle stressful situations in an objective, controlled manner. 14. Participate in professional development activities to improve skills related to job assignment. 15. Observe professional and ethical standards, in accordance with generally accepted community standards and the Professional Code of Ethics.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Regular districtwide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; moderate lifting and carrying.
