Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curricula tailored specifically for one-year-old children, incorporating early literacy, motor skills, and social-emotional learning. Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, safety, and well-being throughout the day while maintaining a warm and welcoming classroom atmosphere. Manage classroom activities efficiently to promote positive behavior management and smooth daily routines. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on child progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incidents. Incorporate early intervention strategies when needed to support children with special education needs or developmental delays. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to track growth in areas such as language acquisition, motor skills, and cognitive development. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate physical education, math concepts, and childhood development principles. Maintain current certifications in first aid and CPR to ensure a safe environment at all times. Uphold standards of childhood welfare by adhering to best practices in childcare and preschool teaching. Experience Proven experience working with children aged one year old in a licensed childcare or preschool setting. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for early childhood learners. Prior classroom management experience with toddlers or preschool-aged children. Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention techniques is highly desirable. Experience communicating effectively with parents about child progress and behavioral strategies. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Background in early childhood education or related fields such as preschool teaching or childhood development is preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood education or special education are advantageous.
