To learn more about the Teacher Incentive Allotment, please copy and paste this link into a new browser: https://www.jeffersonisd.org/18101_4 ELAR Resource Teacher - (JHS) Primary Purpose Provide specialized instruction and support for high school students receiving special education services in English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR). Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and campus staff to ensure students access the general curriculum, make academic progress, and develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in the least restrictive environment. Special Knowledge/Skills Ability to develop and implement IEPs and PLAAFPs Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and administrators Effective written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities Experience Experience working with students receiving special education services preferr Experience with reading intervention programs and progress monitoring preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Provide direct ELAR instruction to students receiving special education services in a resource setting and provide in class support in the general education setting. Adapt lessons and instructional materials to meet individual student needs Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in student IEPs Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and objectives Qualifications/Job Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with Special Education certification
