Job Description:
Provide students with Autism Spectrum Disorders appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program based on the SILC model and show written evidence of preparation as required. Prepare lessons that reflect strategies designed specifically for students with ASD. Collaborate with District Specialists in creating functional communication systems for non-verbal students. Work cooperatively with general education teachers to modify curricula as needed for students with ASD according to guidelines established by IEP. Attend ARD meetings and develop and implement appropriate IEP's for students with ASD. Conduct assessment of students to determine skill level for instructional activities. Maintain open communication with campus administrators and district special programs staff Other duties required by campus/district supervisors reflective of district policies and procedures
Salary:
$61,000 for beginning teacher with "0" years experience (based on 2024-2025 Compensation Plan) $1,000 Master's Degree addenda Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda $3,000 Stipend•
SAIL Teacher Pay Grade:
Certified Instructional, 10 Duty Months Other Information Please apply online, attaching your resume and letter of interest. Three references must be received and must include your current building principal. ACP Candidates must attach the Statement of Eligiblity (SOE) letter. The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
