In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children after school hours, supporting their social, emotional, and developmental growth. Responsibilities Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques Collaborate with colleagues to plan and facilitate youth group activities and enrichment programs Maintain clear communication with parents regarding children's progress and daily experiences Follow all first aid protocols, including administering basic first aid and CPR when necessary Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to meet individual requirements Skills Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings Strong classroom management skills to foster a respectful and productive environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in youth supervision Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation to ensure safety standards are met Ability to lead outdoor activities safely and confidently in various weather conditions Experience facilitating youth programs or camp activities that encourage teamwork and personal growth Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively Background in special education or theater experience is a plus for creating dynamic learning experiences Join us as an Aftercare Teacher/Part-Time staff member to inspire young minds while enjoying a flexible schedule in a supportive environment.
