EMPLOYMENT BEGINS

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To lead and manage the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program at a high school.
This includes:
Teaching and mentoring cadets in leadership, citizenship, discipline, and life skills. Supervising the JROTC staff and program activities, including planning lessons, organizing events, and maintaining compliance with Army regulations. Promoting academic achievement and character development among students. Fostering a positive learning environment that encourages teamwork, responsibility, and service to community and country.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Retired U.S. Army Officer or Reserve U.S. Army Officer Bachelors Degree Certified as a Junior ROTC instructor by the U.S. Army
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Knowledge of Army regulations related to Junior ROTC Programs Knowledge of Army regulations related to the duties of the Property Book Officer Possess effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
EXPERIENCE
Experienced in developing others through structured training, mentorship, and instructional strategies. Experienced in time management and conflict resolution Use of technology and flexibility with the change of technology
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. Plan, organize, and provide appropriate learning experiences within the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Attend campus meetings to promote communication and mutual decision making among the staff. Ensure, on behalf of the campus and the Army, through proper instruction and supervision, the Junior ROTC program is administered according to law, regulation, policy, and principles. The SAI relieves the AI of as many administrative and logistical duties as practical. Manage and conduct the Junior ROTC program according to campus policies, regulations, and customs. They will advise campus authorities of laws and regulations affecting the program. Maintain good relations with the school authorities, faculty, and student body. Conduct a public affairs program in the local area; among school and community officials, civic groups, parent teacher groups, and other individuals or groups, designed to further the understanding of the Junior ROTC program, the school, and the Army. Enroll students in the Junior ROTC program and support campus officials conducting the programs. Ensure continuous evaluation and improvement of the program. Coach of a JROTC Co-Curricular Activity Team(s) Perform other duties as assigned.
