Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by supporting students with unique learning needs in a dynamic school setting near the beautiful Texas coast. As an experienced Special Education Teacher, you'll play a key role in guiding and empowering students to achieve their academic and personal bests. Qualifications & Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing IEPs Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment Comfort with differentiating instruction based on student needs Commitment to ongoing professional development
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students Adapt curriculum and teaching techniques to accommodate various learning styles Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians Track progress and document student growth in academic, behavioral, and social skills Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluation processes Support and guide paraprofessionals and classroom aides Maintain a nurturing and structured classroom where all students are valued
