Job Summary Join our passionate team as a Dog Care Specialist and become a vital part of providing exceptional care and love to our canine companions! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of dogs in our care. Your enthusiasm for animal handling, pet grooming, and training will help create a positive environment where dogs thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for animals with meaningful work that makes a difference in pets' lives. Duties Safely handle and restrain dogs during daily activities, grooming, and veterinary procedures Assist with dog training sessions to promote good behavior and obedience Provide pet care services, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed Support basic animal care tasks such as bathing, cleaning, and health monitoring Maintain a clean and organized environment in kennels, grooming areas, and treatment rooms Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog's needs, behavior, and care routines Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with large or energetic dogs Experience Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic, kennel, or pet care facility is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and behavioral management strategies Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a strong plus Hands-on pet grooming and pet sitting experience demonstrates your versatility in animal care Familiarity with animal handling, restraint techniques, and basic veterinary procedures Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with pet owners and team members Ability to lift heavy objects safely and handle physically demanding tasks with energy and care Embark on a rewarding journey where your dedication to animal welfare shines!
